Dona has always had a passion for animals, which has kept her working in the veterinary field for over four decades. Starting out working in the kennel, her skills quickly grew as she learned the behavior of many species of animals. She learned more about the medical side of animal care by becoming an assistant in the early 80s. Working hard, Dona became a technician and then a surgical technician. Dona worked for the top orthopedic surgeons on Long Island for over a decade. Dona’s desire to help both patients and their owners led her to become a Practice Manager.
Dona has retired from the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. She had the opportunity to travel the country and the world. One of her favorite things to do when not working is spending time with her horse, Keats, with whom she competed in Jumpers and Eventing for over 15 years. Keats is happily retired in Mt. Airy, NC, and is still playful at the young age of 30.
Dona loves spending time with her dogs, JJ and Willow, and her cats, Monkey and Ducky.
